Camera and audio problems we fix

  • Blurry or hazy photos that will not focus

  • Cracked camera lens glass causing flare and glare
  • Muffled or distorted speaker audio
  • Callers saying they cannot hear you
  • A black screen in the Camera app

How the repair works

  1. 1

    Isolate the fault

We test every camera, mic and speaker to identify exactly which component failed.

  2. 2

    Clean first

Speaker mesh clogged with pocket lint is common and often fixes the sound with no parts at all.

  3. 3

    Replace

Camera modules, lens covers, earpieces, loudspeakers or microphones are swapped as needed.

  4. 4

    Test

Photos, video, voice memos and a live call are all checked before you pay.

Blurry photos are usually not the lens you think

When photos come out soft, the cause is either scratched or cracked lens cover glass, or a camera module whose optical image stabilization has failed after a drop. A rattling sound from the camera area when you shake the phone gently is the classic sign of a failed OIS assembly. Both are straightforward replacements.

Before you pay for anything, clean the lens cover with a microfiber cloth and try again in good light. A smudge from sunscreen or a fingerprint accounts for a surprising number of "broken camera" visits.

Muffled calls: earpiece versus loudspeaker

If people sound quiet only when you hold the phone to your ear, the earpiece speaker at the top is the issue. If speakerphone and music are also weak, it is the bottom loudspeaker. If callers cannot hear you, it is a microphone. We test all three so you are not paying for the wrong part.

Lint packed into the speaker mesh is extremely common and costs nothing but time to clear — we always check that first.

Front camera and Face ID

The front camera lives in the same assembly as the Face ID sensors, so those problems sometimes travel together. We can replace a failed selfie camera; the Face ID dot projector is paired to your device at the factory and cannot be swapped, and we will always tell you clearly which situation you are in.

Camera & Speaker Repair questions

How much does iPhone camera repair cost?

$49 to $109 depending on which module and which model. Lens cover glass alone is at the low end; a full rear camera module is at the top.

Can you fix a speaker that sounds muffled?

Yes. We start with a deep cleaning of the speaker mesh, which resolves many cases outright, and replace the speaker if the driver itself has failed.

Can you repair Face ID?

We can replace front cameras and related flex parts, but the Face ID dot projector is cryptographically paired to your iPhone at manufacture and cannot be replaced by any third party.
